The Edinburgh launch of The Confession of Stella Moon happened at Waterstones, Princes St, on 7th July 2016
Before the day, it was fantastic to see my name on this wee list of events in Waterstones window!
This pic was Tweeted by @Waterstones_Edi. It’s their list of lovely literary luxuries in Edinburgh this summer.
Here’s some pictures of the Launch event! See for yourself what a fantastic send-off we gave Our Stella! Thanks to everyone who contributed their pics, particularly Colin Will and Catherine Simpson
Here’s me and my agent, Jenny Brown
And me and publisher, Sara Hunt
The books all went like hot cakes!
A bit crack with the awesome Peggy Hughes!
Me reading a wee extract
Told ya, the place was packed. Standing room only for the latecomers!
Questions from the floor. The best one from Poppy Webber!
I may even have been enjoying mesel!
Here’s the Webbers, getting theirs signed
And then there were none …
Writer pals Mairi and Lou, dunno what I’d do without my mates! And that’s Lin in the background
Signing one for Carol
And Stella takes her place on the table
That’s what proud people look like!
Me and fellow Sarabanista, the awesome Graeme Macrae Burnett!
THANK YOU everyone who made this day one of the BEST days of my life, and to everyone who made it possible!
Here’s a few more pictures my lovely friend OLGA Wojtas sent!
Me chatting with Caitrin from the awesome Scottish Book Trust. I’ve never won one of their awards (tho’ shortlisted 3 times!) but they’ve always been generous and inclusive towards me. All of that matters to a fledgling writer.
Peggy Hughes ask some great questions!
Olga captured me and Andrew looking relaxed and happy!
Me chatting to the awesome Eleanor Pender of the Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature team! I was one of their StoryShoppers in 2013 and, like the Scottish Book Trust, they’ve backed me in every way they can. Sooooo grateful. Scotland has a very inclusive and supportive literary culture, and this is evidence of it.
YAY!!! Go STELLA!!!
